I really like games a lot. I like the idea of games as abstractions of real-life situations that reduce the holistic engagement of existence to a loose collections of rules and strategies. Also I like fighting. My dream is to someday make my own video games, but I'm happy to putter away at my little board game projects in the meantime.
- The first boardgame was made for the first issue of One Measly Dollar. It's pretty simple. You flip a coin to decide whether to follow the instructions on your square or on the square of your opponent. First one to the end of the board wins!
- Catch-up! was the second boardgame, from the second issue of the same 'zine. Another coin-flip. This time the coin flip decides exactly where you're going next.
- Nervous Anticipation came third, bundled with One Measly Dollar's tertiary issue. Man, all my games have coin-flipping involved. What's up with that? This one's slightly different, tho. Your coin flips cause your opponent's coins to flip respectively. No movement is involved. Just a lot of flipping. Kind of like a telecommuting version of Othello.
